STUDENT POLICY SHEET

 

HOURS:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday – 10:00AM to 8:00PM

Thursday – 4:00PM to 8:00PM

Saturday – 8:00AM to 4:00PM

Sunday – by appointment

 

LESSONS :

Bassology is an educational institution designed to foster serious study of music and electric bass and to enable students to function as performing artists. Private lessons are given once a week at a regularly scheduled time. Lessons will include work in music theory and ear training. Bassology reserves the right to discontinue a student at any time for poor attendance, nonpayment of fees, lack of interest, or disruptive behavior.

 

RATES :

Lesson rates are as follows:

$25 per half hour

$50 per hour

$60 per hour for non weekly students.

Payment is accepted by cash or check made payable to The Harmony Network, Inc. There will be a $25 fee charged on all return checks.

CANCELLATION :

Students are expected to show up at their scheduled time and to attend all lessons. Students who are late for their scheduled lesson can not be guaranteed their full lesson length. A student may occasionally request a different lessons time in a particular week (vacation, etc) should be reflected in the monthly payment. A 24 hour advance notice is preferred but a two hour notice is required when you need to cancel a lesson. Exceptions to this requirement will be made in the event of a family emergency or illness. As long as the requirements are being met, the student gets either a make-up lesson (which needs to be done during that month) or a credit toward the next month. If the cancellation requirements can are not met, payment for the lesson is required and the lesson is lost. Students who miss three lessons in a row (some exceptions apply) will be removed from the schedule and will lose their time slot. If a student has credit carried over from a prior month, the remaining payment of lessons for that month are still due at the first lesson of the month.

 

ILLNESS :

Since I am a professional musician, my livelihood depends on my good health. Illness for me is a major problem, because it means cancelled concerts, lessons and lost income. Please do not come to your lesson if you have a cold, or are sick with some other possibly contagious disease. I will be glad to work out a make-up lesson for you in this circumstance.
